Hello, I am Gigantaur

Although African Sulcata Tortoises are known to be solitary reptiles, Gigantaur is comfortable sharing his space with Tortellini. During the warmer seasons, Gigantaur and Tortellini can be usually seen roaming around the backyard, looking for new hiding spots. Gigantaur's favorite hobby is playing hide-and-seek with the morning volunteers. 

When Gigantaur was young, he was fed improperly which resulted in a calcium deficiency and metabolic bone disease. As a result, a part of his shell became deformed (see image below).
