According to a major study produced by World Wildlife Fund, Humanity has wiped out 60% of all mammals, birds, fish and reptiles since 1970. 60%! “We are sleepwalking towards the edge of a cliff”

In the last several months, numerous reports, from varying viewpoints and organizations have come out – all with the same conclusion – we are killing the very systems that make life on Planet Earth possible – and we are killing these systems at such an alarming speed, that the likelihood of our planet being able to regenerate is slim to none.

The largest and most dangerous impact of palm oil production is the rapid deforestation that is required to sustain the industry. Palm oil trees thrive in the same tropical climate that rainforests do. Countless acres of these rainforests have been burned to make room for massive palm oil plantations.

On October 6th, our small band of adventurers arrived in Panama, eager to seek out the perfect locale to create the Planet Rehab Endangered Species Project. Our goal: to protect vulnerable species that are endangered by protecting their habitats, reforesting the land and creating breeding programs to help wild populations.

There are many ways you can get involved with Planet Rehab. You can join our Public Relations, Marketing, or Social Media team which would be online. We also have in person volunteering at our Hillcrest Aviary in San Dimas or you can bring us into your community by starting a chapter at your college, high school, church, etc.
